An X Factor semi-finalist has appeared in court charged with a string of sexual offences against children.

Danny Tetley, 38, appeared at Bradford and Keighley Magistrates Court today accused of 11 offences.

The charges include four counts of possessing indecent images of children and engaging in sexual communication with a child.

He’s also accused of four counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and five counts of inciting the sexual exploitation of a child.

His final charge is of committing an act to or attempt to pervert the course of justice.

Tetley has been remanded in custody to appear at Bradford Crown Court at a later date.

He has strenuously denied the offences and previously said: ‘I’m an innocent man. I’m without a doubt being set up. 

‘I’ve heard these accusations before with different kind of things, it’s just people just out to earn a few quid.’

He first appeared on television back in 2001 on Pop Idol before taking another shot at fame 17 years later on the X Factor.
