Year 12 girls strip down to their underwear and splash about in a fountain

It’s not summer yet! Year 12 girls strip down to their underwear and splash about in a fountain for a muck-up day ‘scavenger hunt’ prank

  • Erina High School students jumped into fountain on Central Coast on Tuesday
  • Fountain Plaza passersby were shocked as the girls giggled and screamed
  • Past students said teams got points for outrageous pranks on a list

Warm spring weather hasn’t arrived yet but that didn’t bother a gaggle of Year 12 girls who stripped off and played in a fountain.

The seven Erina High School students splashed about in just their underwear at Fountain Plaza on the Central Coast about 12.45pm – one even losing her bra.

The girls claimed it was part of a traditional but unsanctioned scavenger hunt to celebrate the end of their final school year.

Elderly passers-by looked away as the girls giggled and screamed while their friends snapped photos and filmed their antics as proof for the hunt.

Teams got points for completing a list of pranks, weighted by their level of difficulty or shock value, past students told the Central Coast Gosford Express Advocate.

The Education Department said only nine students were absent on Tuesday and just four of them were girls.

Erina High School was also not aware of any scavenger hunts taking place that day.

However, the school was just an eight-minute walk along The Entrance Road from Fountain Plaza.

Scavenger hunts are a popular alternative to the Year 12 Muck-up Day tradition as schools clamp down on disruptive end-of-year celebrations.
