The ‘perfect weekend activity’ has launched ahead of Valentine’s Day, with many dubbing it the ideal date idea. 

Those in Sydney can now enjoy fully-catered picnics complete with Aperol Spritz cocktails, charcuterie and cheese and dessert.

The picnics are available from the Terrace on the Domain, and cost $80 per couple.

Included in the picnic basket are two pre-mixed Aperol cocktails, sopressa, mortadella, pickles, olives, focaccia, brie, cheddar, homemade apple and fig chutney, and two paninis.

There is also a tiramisu for each person and fresh and dried fruit.

The menu is available Wednesday through to Saturday for lunch and Wednesday to Sunday for dinner but have to be booked 24 hours in advance.

The offering comes as Aperol launch their pre-mixed beverages across Australia.

The pre-made drink comes in a pack of three, with each bottle containing approximately 1.3 standard drinks.

It is best served cold with a slice of orange, according to the pack.

The Italian drink has soared in popularity in Australia over recent years because of its refreshing qualities.

The three-pack can be purchased from Dan Murphy’s for just $17.50 – and according to customers the Aperol, prosecco and soda ratio is ‘perfect’.

The concept appears popular with Aperol lovers online.

On Instagram one woman said the drinks are ‘the only way to kick off the weekend.’

‘This is the best news ever,’ another said.

Others simply tagged their friends and promised to share one of the drinks ‘soon’.

‘We are sorted for the next picnic in the park,’ said another.

Even Bachelor in Paradise star Keira Maguire commented on a video of the drink in keen anticipation. ‘My faves,’ she said.

The drinks are available to people over 18 at bottle shops across Australia.
