Australian retailer Big W is now selling its award-winning slow cooker for only $24.

The Contempo Slow Cooker has a 5.5 litre capacity and is perfect for home cooks looking to try their hand at winter casseroles and roasts without paying the hefty price tag high-end brands demand.

In 2019, the product was given a five-star review and was named the best slow cooker in the Canstar Blue test thanks to its elegant design, great value for money and ‘easy to use’ features.

Higher priced slow cookers from Sunbeam ($149), Kmart ($39) and Philips ($279) also received a high rating, with each awarded four stars for overall satisfaction.

The latter received a higher score (five stars) than the Big W device (four stars) in the ‘functions and features’ category, but lost points when it came to value for money and ease of cleaning.
