A 20-year-old mother has admitted she delivered drugs to an alleged dealer from her white Suzuki Swift.

Kathleen Day, from Albion Park, south of Sydney, pleaded guilty to a number of offences related to cannabis supply at Wollongong Local Court on Wednesday.

The young mum began to transport the drug to an alleged dealer in Goulburn after her partner – the father of her baby – was disqualified from driving, Illawarra Star reported.

Detectives began to investigate an alleged dealer through Strike Force Arte in July 2018.

They say the alleged dealer allegedly sourced drugs from Day’s partner, Connor O’Dwyer.

Between October 2018 and January 2019, police allegedly recorded O’Dwyer driving to the dealer’s home six times to drop off $72,000 worth of cannabis.

O’Dwyer was then caught driving disqualified on January 7 and allegedly sought the assistance of his 20-year-old partner.

Day began to deliver the drugs, with O’Dwyer allegedly joining her in the front seat for the journey.

According to police facts, Day transported up to four pounds of cannabis each trip.

On February 24, Day texted her sister to say she was forced to hide from police during one of her drives.

‘There was heaps of cops in Goulburn last night cause the academy graduated,’ the text message said.

Day was arrested on June 4 after a traffic stop in Albion Park, which also saw her passenger, O’Dwyer, arrested and charged.

O’Dwyer has been remanded in Goulburn Correctional Centre and faces 17 charges.

He has not yet entered a plea.

Day will be sentenced on November 5.
