A 21-year-old woman has died after she was shot in the head in Panorama City, California during a car-to-car shooting.
Jessica Torres was driving with two male acquaintances at 2.30am on Thursday when she was shot at a stoplight.
A vehicle pulled up while her sedan was stopped at the intersection of Van Nuys Boulevard and Arminta Street. Someone in the car opened fire, striking Torres, according to KTLA.

She had been in critical condition since the shooting and passed away on Saturday.
Torres leaves behind a two-year-old daughter, according to a GoFundMe created to help the child.
After Torres was shot, a passenger in the car ran to get help at a nearby convenience store.

‘No matter what the circumstances are in life, nobody deserves to be shot while they’re sitting at an intersection waiting for the light to turn green. That’s just a very cold and callus act perpetrated by cowards that need to come to justice,’ Lt. Michael Kozak said.
No arrests have been made, and police are currently searching for surveillance video or witnesses to the incident.
