A YouTube star has purchased Kylie Jenner’s budget-friendly outfits from Fashion Nova to see if the fast-fashion pieces are worth the hype.
Remi Cruz, 23, has built a loyal following of more than 2.4 million followers on YouTube with her videos about fashion and clothing hauls. In a recent video, she bought pieces from Fashion Nova that were advertised by Kylie, 21.
In the video, Remi unpacks each of the outfits and tries them on for her followers, informing them if the inexpensive items are actually worth purchasing.

‘I’m not expecting the quality to be very good, but you never know until you try,’ Remi said at the beginning of the video.
She unpacked a fuzzy pink sweater ($28) and high-waisted skinny jeans ($30) that Kylie recently posted in a picture.
‘I don’t know. So far the quality is not too bad,’ Remi said when commenting on the pink sweater.
After trying on the outfit, it later became one of Remi’s top picks as she admitted to ‘really liking’ the combo. The one downfall of the high-waisted jeans was that they came without front pockets.
Another outfit Remi raved about from the Fashion Nova collection was a gray off-the-shoulders dress ($28).
‘Oh my gosh I have seen her wear this dress all the time,’ the YouTube star gushed as she unpacked the outfit.
Remi admitted to having similar dresses from other companies, but the Fashion Nova version included a lining underneath the top layer to help control the fabric when worn. This extra layer influenced Remi’s love for the dress when she tried it on.
‘This one I think is totally worth the money,’ she said.

But not all of the outfits from the collection were hits for the fashionista. Remi purchased the pink dress ($60) Kylie notably worn for her 21st birthday, but it wasn’t exactly what she anticipated.
‘It doesn’t even look like [Kylie] is wearing this dress to be honest,’ Remi said when trying on the outfit. Her issue was the dress appeared to have extra fabric making it hard for her to tie.
Ultimately, she said the birthday dress was just ‘OK’.
Another outfit Remi attempted to mimic from Kylie was a gray jogger set ($40). She worried about trying this one on because of her ‘thunder thighs’ that could make the set look off on her shorter frame.
‘I hate them,’ the YouTuber screamed when putting on the clothes. ‘I look like a teletubby.’

Although the jogger set was comfortable to wear, Remi admitted it was not as flattering on her body as she would hope. It was one outfit she said would only be worn within her home.
There was notably one piece of clothing that Remi unboxed but did not put on for followers, and it was a pair of pink pleather pants.
‘It smells like fish bait,’ the YouTuber said and admitted she almost gagged from the pants. The smell could be the reason why she didn’t try on the clothing item for the cameras.
Fashion Nova first launched in 2013 as a fashion store based in Los Angeles, California. The brand mainly provided customers with ‘low-price clubwear’ before extending its line to include other apparel options.
The company has blown up on social media with the help of its estimated 2,000 influencers — including Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Blac Chyna and Cardi B.
Cardi B recently launched her own clothing line with the brand is spotted often at appearances and events wearing the Fashion Nova apparel.
