YouTuber in tears as no one attends her fans’ meeting

A heartbroken ten-year-old on YouTube has clocked up almost 1.2million views with her emotional blast at her fans who failed to turn up to a park to meet her.

Aspiring vlogger Alina had hoped to come face to face with some of her 3,000 web subscribers but despite ‘promises’ from 20-plus, no-one came.

The Russian schoolgirl – who had built up her followers by making slime and showing off her toys – has now gone viral with her tearful outburst, pleading with her fans not to ‘lie’ to her.

She now has more than 50,000 subscribers, rising by the hour.

‘I am just back from my fans’ meeting, but sadly no-one came,’ said the crushed girl, not explaining if she was accompanied by her parents.

‘I’m very upset because in the comments more than 20 people wrote that they were coming.

‘I was waiting there for 30 minutes – but no-one came. I checked all around the park, but to no avail.’

Sobbing, she went on: ‘Please don’t lie to me like that ever again. I am really, truly, very upset. I beg you not to lie to me like that.

‘I was expecting to see many people and bought a lot of sweets. I made riddles and brought prizes for those who guessed them right.’

She told her followers: ‘I thought we’d have fun, take pictures together and I would finally see my friends and subscribers – but you treated me like this.’

She ends the clip in tears.

Her video has brought starkly different reactions, with many expressing sympathy and promising to attend if she organises another fans’ meeting at her home city of Nizhnekamsk in oil-rich Tatarstan.

But others fear she could be the victim of paedophiles or kidnappers and condemn her parents for encouraging her to meet internet rather than real friends.

‘I’m sure next time people will come as promised, don’t cry Alina,’ said one.

Some big Russian bloggers have promised to help her arrange another fans’ meeting at the city’s Semya (Family) Park.

Another Andrei wrote: ‘So she’ll go to another of those “fans’ meetings” and then all the newspapers and news sites will be screaming that an aspiring 10-year-old vlogger has disappeared. Help!

‘Why are her parents allowing her to arrange such meetings? What are they thinking?’

Alexander Sazonov said: ‘Dear God, a 10-year-old child is off to see her fans and then sits in front of the screen seemingly heartbroken.

‘Er, parents – hello?

‘Where are her other, real life friends?

‘Or does it pay so well on YouTube to have your child crying live that you don’t mind her doing that?’
