Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips joined a host of celebrities as they stepped out for a swanky charity ball this evening. 

The Queen’s grandchildren appeared in high spirits as they joined a slew of A-listers as they attended the annual Tusk Ball 2022 at the Natural History Museum in central London. 

The annual event aims to raise the vital funds for the conservation organisation, which works with partners to preserve critical habitats, protect endangered species, combat the illegal wildlife trade across Africa. 

The royals were joined at the event by Dragons’ Den star Deborah Meaden, television presenter Rachel Riley and partner Pasha Kovalev, plus Tusk chief executive Charles Mayhew.

The lavish ball was held in the museum’s Hintze Hall and began with a Champagne reception followed by dinner, entertainment, live an silent auctions, all topped off with a DJ. 

Tusk was established in 1990 in response to the poaching crisis of the 1980’s, which pushed black rhino to the brink of extinction and saw 100,000 elephants slaughtered each year.

The organisation has high level of support and involvement from The Duke of Cambridge, who became the charity’s Royal Patron in 2005.  

In 2020, Prince William joined an online forum hosted by Tusk to discuss the charity’s initial reactions and responses to the pandemic

On the forum panel were eight of Tusk’s project partners from across Africa alongside Tusk’s CEO Mayhew.
