Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott are engaged after four years of dating. 

The Property Brothers star popped the question to the actress on a family trip to Scotland, four years after they first met when filming an episode of Carpool Karaoke.

‘Forever starts now!!!’ Zooey captioned her announcement on Monday. 

PEOPLE reported that her two children, daughter Elsie, eight, and son Charlie, six, played a role in the engagement.
