Eyebrow microblading comes with a number of perks; mostly that you’ll never have to fiddle with a pencil and colour them in before work each morning.
But with every kind of permanent tattoo there comes a little risk and the pay-off simply wasn’t worth it for mother-of-one Gabrielle.
The brunette was left with horrifically blended brows and an infection after visiting a clinic and reached out to a Facebook group in the hopes of finding a solution.

That’s when she stumbled on Sydney-based makeup and cosmetic tattoo artist to the stars, Gordana Willesee.
Gordana, who worked with Gabrielle a year ago, has since corrected the horrendous work so that the results look more natural than ever before – but it was a process.
The owner of Dr Freckle and Mr Hide revealed exactly how she did it online, explaining that initially ‘the hair strokes looked more like the silver ferns from the New Zealand flag’.
She saw to Gabrielle’s infection a mere three days after she had the worst microblading experience imaginable – and solved the problem
She saw to Gabrielle’s infection a mere three days after she had the worst microblading experience imaginable and with one session corrected her brows from a blue colour to the chocolate brown they should have been.
Another four rounds of adding brow strokes and dimension and Gordana had all but rectified the situation – but still taught Gabrielle how to use makeup to cover some of the scarring.
‘There was also one tattoo removal session involved for the black ink spotting at the bottom of the left brow, but in the final photo, I’ve shown Gabrielle how to hide this with makeup,’ she wrote online.

What is eyebrow microblading?
Unlike a regular tattoo microblading is a form of tattoo artistry where pigment is implanted under your skin with a manual handheld tool instead of a machine.
The cosmetic tattooist draws hair-like strokes with the tool to mimic natural hairs in your brows.
Even though it’s not as deep as the regular tattoo, it’s still a tattoo because pigment is implanted under the skin.
It can take up to two hours in the chair for each session and cost upwards of $800.
‘I care about results so sometimes I have to use my makeup background to best conceal the problem and wait until the fading takes place due to the scar tissue. This is quite a common situation when you’re creating multiple hair strokes,’ she continued, speaking to Mamamia.
A Current Affair has since contacted Gordana in hopes of doing a story, but she refused to ‘name the person responsible for this disaster’.
‘I did not want to expose them because they have a family and we all need a second chance in life. That story would have been very detrimental to their family, besides I was so confident I’d make them natural again that I didn’t need to rubbish someone for acknowledgement,’ she said on Instagram.
