- A bride-to-be has taken to Facebook to complain about bridesmaid’s weight gain
- The woman said she had to dump the bridesmaid after she put on about 20kg
- The bride-to-be didn’t want to have a larger person ‘ruining the wedding photos’
A bride has left her friend crying in a restaurant after dumping her from the wedding party because she had gained 20 kilograms and would ‘ruin the wedding photos’.
The bride-to-be decided to tell the woman she didn’t want her to be a bridesmaid anymore despite being slammed online after asking ‘how best to do it’.
The original post said her friend was ‘bursting out of the seams and looks awful’ in the dress.

The woman said she took her friend out to dinner and ‘explained’ the situation.
‘She started crying in the middle of the restaurant and it was super embarrassing so I got up and left,’ she said in a post.
‘I wish I felt bad about this but I don’t. At least my wedding photos will look great now.’
The bride complained that her friend had sent her nasty messages following the dinner but she had ‘taken the highroad’ and ignored them before blocking her.
People weren’t convince she had done the right thing.
‘I think you’ve got the road you took confused,’ one woman said.

‘Definitely the road to hell,’ said another.
Others hoped bad things would happen to ruin the woman’s ‘perfect wedding’.
‘The photographer cancels last minute and they can’t get a replacement so there won’t be any photos anyway – and the whole wedding party gets gastro,’ one person suggested.
‘Well I hope she finds out her husband is actually cheating on her with the ex bridesmaid,’ said another.
The bride tried to clarify her reasons for not wanting a larger bridesmaid – and asked for opinions from people who wear size 10 or smaller.
‘I should have mentioned my fiance and I run a popular personal training and health business – I can’t have fat people in my pictures what kind of image would that portray to my customers,’ she wrote.
