  • UK tourists’ favourite shows and films may not be available on the Continent

British citizens may be blocked from using online services like Netflix while on European holidays after Brexit.

Under current ‘portability’ rules, anyone who subscribes to these services has the same content they pay for at home while visiting other EU countries.

Services offering film, music and video-game downloads and e-books let customers access their purchases while abroad.

This could mean UK tourists’ favourite shows and films, such as The Crown and Stranger Things, may not be available to them while they are travelling on the Continent.
