How you can get a six pack without leaving the sofa

A woman has revealed how you can get a stunning six pack without leaving the comfort of your couch.

The incredible sofa-workout by Victorian woman Lizzy Williamson promises rock hard abs with minimal effort – and she says you can binge on your favourite television shows at the same time.

Ms Williamson has prepared a ‘two minute moves’ video showing just how to use your couch to get fit.

There are three core moves described in the video – which she insists help to get rid of unwanted belly fat.

‘So often we get to the end of our days, crash on the couch and haven’t managed to get in any exercise,’ she said.

‘We’re too busy, tired or hate the idea of going to the gym. But many of us spend a lot of time complaining about our tummy areas as we spend a lot of time crashed out on the couch.’

The workout doesn’t have to last long according to the fitness instructor. She starts her demonstration by sitting on the couch with her core muscles switched on and her knees towards her chest.

She then points her toes and taps the floor before stretching her legs out. This move is called the knee lift with leg push – and she suggests ten repetitions before moving on.

But if pushing is too hard the very enthusiastic teacher says repeating the floor tap is okay.

If that is too hard people should try one foot at a time, according to the teacher.

‘That works so fast you won’t believe it,’ she said as she demonstrated the move.

The second move, called the leg crossover, is pretty self-explanatory – and also requires ten repetitions.

‘Just cross your legs and extend both of them and change as you cross over,’ she said. The casual looking move gives a ‘really nice leg extension’.

‘Burn baby burn, up and over,’ she exclaimed.

For the third move leaning back is a must – according to Ms Williamson.

The leg cycle appears to be the most dynamic of the three workouts.

‘You need to do whatever you have to do to take your mind off what is going on in your core muscles here,’ she said. The cycle is then reversed after ten repetitions.

‘It is quite amazing how fast these moves work, you don’t have to do an hour of tummy muscle work.

‘You can just crash down on your couch to do a few of these moves to really make a big difference,’ she said.
