I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers are convinced the show is filmed in the NSW Blue Mountains, and not Kruger National Park in South Africa. 

Eagle-eyed fans became suspicious on Tuesday after seeing the geo-tag ‘Katoomba, New South Wales’ on an Instagram post featuring hosts Julia Morris and Dr Chris Brown.

Confused viewers flooded the comments section of the I’m A Celebrity Instagram account with questions – and even accused producers of ‘lying’ to them about where the jungle camp is located.

‘They’re not in Africa! Have you lied to us?’ one follower asked. 

Another wrote: ‘It’s supposed to be in South Africa, why does it say Blue Mountains?’

‘Why does the post keep coming up Katoomba or Blue Mountains?’ read a similar comment.

However, one follower claimed that the geo-tag simply meant that the person running I’m A Celebrity’s social media account was in Katoomba.

‘It’s obvious that whoever made the post is in Katoomba. Wherever the device making the post is, the location will say (depending on settings) hence the “Katoomba, NSW”,’ they wrote. 

Even singer Shannon Noll, who appeared on the reality TV show last year, offered his thoughts on the conspiracy theory. 

‘Hey guys, what’s with Katoomba Blue Mountains underneath your posts? Because I know for a fact I lived in the camp for 42 days and it wasn’t in Katoomba!’ he wrote.
