Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares came from behind to progress to the third round of the Australian Open.

The doubles pairing beat British duo Luke Bambridge and Jonny O’Mara in almost two hours on Saturday.

Murray and Soares are third seeds to win the men’s doubles at this year’s Australian Open.

Jamie Murray (L) and Bruno Soares (R) came back to earn a second-round win in Melbourne

They were forced to battle back from an opening-set loss (6-3) but did so with aplomb by claiming the second 6-2.

They then ground out the final set and clinched the victory and will hope to take that momentum into their third-round clash.

They will face German Kevin Krawietz and Croatian Nikola Mektic next.
