Kirsten Dunst ‘is pregnant with her first child’

Kirsten Dunst is said to be expecting her first child with fiancé Jesse Plemons, according to reports from US Weekly.

The Bring It On actress, 35, who announced her engagement to the 28-year-old Breaking Bad star earlier this year, revealed in an interview with Marie Claire in May that she felt: ‘It’s time to have babies and chill.’

On Saturday, Kirsten was seen out in Los Angeles while sporting an over-sized pink T-shirt and cradling her stomach which appeared slightly rounded.

In her insightful interview, she continued: ‘I wasn’t one of those ‘I need a baby!’ people until my goddaughter was born. I love her so much. 

‘That love is just like… you can’t experience that unless you have a kid. I put her to bed last night and she woke up this morning and said to her mom, ‘Where’s Kiki?’ I just love that love. That’s what I want.’

Speaking about the moment her Fargo co-star proposed to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, she quipped: ‘I was a little sick when [he proposed], which was funny. But that’s good. Sickness and in health, you know… I was in sweats.’

The Beguiled star said she became good friends with Jesse when working on Fargo season two back in 2015, though their relationship was purely platonic until a year later. The couple play married high school sweethearts Peggy and local butcher Ed in the FX show.

Uncharacteristic style: The 35-year-old star kept it casual for her day of errands, stepping out in a baggy pink T-shirt by designer Rodarte and sweatpants 

Kirsten’s candid interview with the chat show host also saw her joke about naming her child after the show to honour their romance.

‘I’ll name my kid ‘Fargo season two’!’ the actress joked.

The actress has made no secret of her desire to start a family with Plemons, admitting earlier this year that she is ready to put the brakes on her career for motherhood.

She told Marie Clare: ‘I’m at a stage in my life where I’m like, I’ve been working since I was 3. It’s time to have babies and chill.’

Kirsten admitted that it wasn’t until she became a godmother that she got a taste of the love felt between a mother and a child. 

She confessed: ‘I wasn’t one of those “I need a baby!” people until my goddaughter was born. I love her so much. That love is just like… you can’t experience that unless you have a kid. 

‘I put her to bed last night and she woke up this morning and said to her mom, “Where’s Kiki?” I just love that love. That’s what I want.’

In a 2015 interview with NET-A-PORTER magazine, Kirsten once again opened up on the subject of motherhood, admitting: ‘I want to continue acting, but I also want to have kids. I think I’ll be ready to have them in two years or something.’

Kirsten and Jesse kept their romance under wraps until they were spotted kissing in May 2016.

Their engagement was confirmed through sources in January.
