Liverpool still in talks with Leipzig for early Keita move

  • Liverpool remain in talks with RB Leipzig over the early transfer of Naby Keita 
  • Reports say Keita will play his last game for Leipzig against Schalke on Saturday 
  • Keita is understood to have registered a private company called ‘NK8 Limited’ 

Liverpool remain in talks with Red Bull Leipzig over the early transfer of Naby Keita though the clubs have yet to reach agreement.

German media reports have suggested Keita will play his last game for Leipzig against Schalke on Saturday with the clubs closing on an improved fee of £79million.

Liverpool had already agreed a fee of £66.8million for Keita should Leipzig qualify for the Champions League but Leipzig want extra compensation to release him from his contract early.

Keita and his entourage have indicated they would like to move to Anfield in January.

Keita is understood to have registered a private company called ‘NK8 Limited’ to a London address with Companies House this week with Keita and his agent Bjorn Bezemer listed as directors.
