Married At First Sight’s Clare Verrall has reflected on her weight loss journey after embracing her voluptuous figure for her first ever swimsuit shoot.

Sharing a photo of herself from three years ago to Instagram, the 34-year-old recalled how she was doing two-hour workout sessions and following a restricted diet at the time.

‘I look at this photo and remember how unhappy I felt’: On Friday, Married At First Sight’s Clare Verrall reflected on her weight loss journey after learning to embrace her voluptuous figure

‘This was the magic number on the scale I was always so sure would suddenly make all life’s problems disappear,’ she wrote on Friday.

Clare explained that she believed reaching her goal weight would give her the self confidence, happiness and love she was searching for.

‘I look at this photo now and remember how incredibly unhappy, depressed, overwhelmed, unlovable and insecure I felt,’ she added.

Clare admitted that, at the time the photo was taken, she was not treating herself or the people around her well.

She wrote: ‘It has taken years for me to start to learn this, but my self worth and happiness have nothing to do with my weight, and everything to do with learning to love and respect the skin I am in.’

The former MAFS star explained that happiness doesn’t come from a number on a scale and that healthy bodies come in all sizes.
