Psychic funeral celebrant claims dead people contact her

A civil celebrant claims she has arranged 40 funerals after being contacted from beyond the grave by dead people, who provide their exact requirements, often days before their relatives even approach her.

Mum-of-one Tracie Long, 54, of Chelmsford, Essex, claims she is first notified on her mobile by angels – using the code 14.44 or 1.44 – to let her know a family is in imminent need of her services.

A gifted psychic, she said: ‘A few days before I get the call from a family asking me to take a service, I see certain angel numbers usually on my phone – 14.44 and 1.44.

‘I know this is the angels letting me know that a family is going to need me soon. A day or so later, a spirit will visit me, sometimes even the night before I get the call or message from the relatives, asking me if I would take the service.

‘I like to think spirits visit because they have chosen me to take their service, but also it’s because I often act as the go between. They know that I am able to interact with their close family members when putting their service together.’

Tracie says details provided by the dearly departed include specific poems or songs they want at their service – claiming to have arranged dozens of fitting send-offs, after being visited by a family’s dead loved-ones in the middle of the night.

She said: ‘They are with me when I’m putting the service together. They visit me on the morning of the funeral and stand beside me at the committal.

‘It is a great honour for me. I feel blessed to have been chosen by spirit to be part of their final farewell.’

Single Tracie became aware of her psychic powers as a child, but did not practice as a medium until 20 years ago.

She explained: ‘I was born this way. When I was younger I’d see animals in my bedroom, but I just assumed they were living under my bed.

‘And when I was about six, I heard someone calling my name. For a while, I thought it was God talking, but I now realise it was actually my grandfather, Joe Long, who had already passed.’

It was when Tracie was given pack of tarot cards as a present, that her talent really emerged.

‘They might just be cards to some people, but to me they tell a story. That’s when I realised I had gift,’ she said.

‘I can predict the future. I didn’t know how I did it, but I could. I would do readings for people and days or weeks later they would come back and say, ‘Oh my God, you were right!’

‘If someone was going to have a baby, I would look at them weeks before they found out and tell them they were pregnant.

‘Or if they were going for a job, I’d know in advance if they would get it or not.’

Then, in April 2016, following years of running a successful tarot card reading business and connecting to the angels, Tracie trained as a civil celebrant, after being asked to conduct a pagan wedding for a friend.

She recalled: ‘I visited a local funeral director, to see if I could get some work as a funeral celebrant there after completing my course and he put me in touch with two brothers who had lost their mum.

‘I didn’t tell them I was a psychic as well, but after a hour or two chatting with them about the funeral, I realised their mum had visited me the night before.

‘She had come to me when I was sleeping. I didn’t see her, but like everyone else since, I felt her presence.

‘Since then, when I have had spirits visit me, they try to get my attention by by walking around loudly or knocking.’

Tracie has now conducted 40 ceremonies with the spirits of loved ones as a guide, ensuring personal details are included, ranging from releasing butterflies to playing birdsong and reading a favourite poem.

She has often woken with songs in her head, which she later discovered to be a favourite of the person who died.

‘One woman’s family couldn’t think of a piece of music to play at their mum’s funeral.

‘One night I couldn’t get Nat King Cole’s All For You out of my head and then a few days later I realised it was a favourite song of the woman who had passed, and she was telling me what to play. It was one of her favourite songs.’

Tracie also claims that being visited by dead loved ones helps to relieve their family of some of the stress of funeral planning.

She said: ‘When I speak to their loved ones, people are totally overwhelmed and grateful I have made a connection.

‘The spirits guide me to the songs and poems that they like, often right up until the day of the funeral.

‘They are sat beside me when I am planning out the ceremony, and they let me know if they don’t like something we have planned.

‘At one ceremony, the sound system cut out a few minutes before, which I knew was a sign the lady who had died didn’t like the music.

‘I want families to know they can choose who they want to take their loved one’s service. They have options and can have a lovely uplifting tribute which is fitting to their family member.’
