Psychic Russian crash victim ‘misread disaster warning’

A psychic who died when a Russian passenger plane crashed near Moscow shortly after taking off last weekend  apparently predicted his own death but misinterpreted  the signs he saw in his crystal ball.

The mystic thought the spirits were urging him to cancel his birthday party but in fact they were warning him against boarding the doomed Russian jet, the Mirror reported.

Ilya Stavsky, 33, did not realise that he had witnessing the crash of the AN-148 plane when he looked into his orb.

He was reported to have seen a large number of police officers in a field, images that were echoed days later when the flight he was on crashed.

The tragedy is believed to be due to instrument failure – they are thought to have frozen over and registered an incorrect speed, the TASS news agency quoted investigators as saying.

Ilya believed that if he had a party there was a danger that he and his friends might be arrested, The Mirror reported, so he was unaware of the impending tragedy when he boarded the flight in Moscow.

The Saratov Airlines flight exploded into a fireball shortly after taking off on Ilya’s birthday, scattering bodies and wreckage across the frozen Russian countryside.

All 71 people on board the flight were killed when it crashed into a field. It was a tragedy which some say he foresaw but did not interpret correctly.

The physic was travelling to his home city of Orsk in south-central Russia’s Orenburg Oblast region.

He had been in Moscow to see his his girlfriend Natalia, who he met while travelling in India.

He wanted to marry Natalia, even though a fellow psychic had told him that they were not destined to be together.

Natalia claims that just a day before the tragedy, Ilya looked into his magic ball but missed the warning signs.
