The $10million race day at Aquis Park on the Gold Coast saw a smorgasbord of cashed-up guests splash out on the auctions, but afterwards revellers were spotted putting on a few races of their own.
From selfies with lucky police officers to piggy-back races, grinning racegoers donned top hats and posed for some outrageous photographs.

As the sun set some decided a snack was in order, picking up treats from the food tents and carrying them back to their friends and family
Inspired by the thoroughbreds on the track, a number of happy punters jumped on each others’ backs and raced up and down the lawns.
Others opted for more relaxing types of entertainment, lying down in the grass and looking up at the sky after a hard day of fun in the sun.
