A Tennessee father has been arrested for allegedly lighting his daughter’s wheelchair on fire while she was in it.

Timothy Shane Medley, 41, is charged with aggravated assault, abuse of an adult, reckless endangerment and burning personal property.

The charges come after police investigated a house fire in Pulaski, Tennessee, in May.

The investigation found Medley responsible for starting the fire.

It also revealed that he used an accelerant to set his daughter’s wheelchair on fire.

On Thursday, Medley was arrested and booked into the Giles County Jail on a $22,000 bond.

His daughter, who has not been named, was injured in the fire and taken to the Vanderbilt Burn Center to be treated, officials said in a news release.

A motive has not been released and the daughter’s state has not been revealed.
