A teenager from Texas has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his younger brother.

Jose Felinzo Carrion, 18, allegedly shot and killed his 16-year-old brother, Ethan, then posted about how much he missed him on Facebook.

Carrion was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the death and booked into the Bexar County Jail in San Antonio.

Police say Jose shot Ethan with a 20-gauge shotgun on August 26.

By the time cops arrived, they found Ethan lying unresponsive in the living room with a shotgun wound to his chest.

The murder weapon was nowhere to be found but bullet casings along with some blood were found along the stairway banister.

The boys’ mother told police that she was in the living room with Ethan moments before he was shot.

According to Chron.com the boy’s mother claims she saw Ethan him get up to leave the room on the afternoon he was killed but never heard a gunshot.

The first she knew of her son being in trouble was when she discovered Ethan had been shot right after leaving the living room, according to an arrest affidavit.

She claimed that whatever noise she heard was a door slamming rather than a gun firing.

Although he is the prime suspect in the killing, over the past month Jose has been mourning the loss of his brother publicly on Facebook.

‘Feel stupid lost out here walking streets, bro,’ he wrote a couple of weeks ago. ‘Just wishing you was here.’

‘I’m lost as f*** out here, bro,’ he wrote on another occasion. ‘Wish you didn’t have to leave me so young. I always told you it had to be me before you and the rest, bro. Now look, karnal, I’m going crazy.’

Despite the postings, Jose was arrested after police found blood on him which he claimed belonged to his brother.

He said that Ethan accidentally shot himself while ‘playing’ with the gun as he walked down the apartment’s staircase claiming Ethan dropped the gun when it fired a round into his chest at point blank range.

When detectives asked him where the shotgun was Jose claimed he handed it to someone walking by before then suggesting he threw it in a dumpster near the apartment. No weapon has yet been found.
