A man who allegedly threatened to ‘smash’ an ambulance which had been left in a private parking space while paramedics were treating a patient has been charged.
Medics were called to Westferry Road in Tower Hamlets, East London, at 10.30pm on Tuesday, after they received a call that a patient was suffering a cardiac arrest.
Once the patient had been taken to hospital, the ambulance team came back to collect their first-response vehicle at 2.30am.
The threatening note said: ‘Warning this is a private parking space next time it will be smashed’
However they were shocked to discover that it had been slapped with a note from an angry resident.
The threatening note said: ‘Warning this is a private parking space next time it will be smashed’.
It has also been claimed that a man then approached the medics and started acting aggressively.
Police were called and Motin Miah, 38, of Westferry Road, was arrested and charged with a public order offence.
He will appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on June 1.
Tower Hamlets Police uploaded a photo of the note on Twitter.
