12-year-old shocks crowd with street dance battle

Dance Mom dancers are no stranger to the pressure and fame that come with the spotlight.

But one preteen reality star from the hit Lifetime series decided to take a very different stage right on the street and shared an Instagram video of herself busting some moves in a Las Vegas strip dance circle, leaving street performers and passersby in awe.

12-year-old dancer Maesi Caes had just wrapped up a performance in Las Vegas with the Abby Lee Dance Company troupe at the Sheer Talent competition when she saw a group of dancers on the street and jumped right into the middle for a dance battle, still wearing her girly performance costume.

Groovy gal: She then swayed side to side in sharp elbow and knee movements

Break it down: Dance Moms competitor Maesi Caes, 12, just wrapped up a competition performance but that didn’t stop her from entering a street dance battle in Las Vegas

Killin it! She then gave the crowd a hype milly rock move that left spectators cheering

That's a wrap! At the end she shyly looked into the camera with a smile then returned to the spectator's ring

The Los Angeles based dancer stood stopped a street performers dance battle in the middle of a busy Las Vegas strip on a summer evening to get her own dig in the ring.

The video starts with her standing in the middle of the high-anticipation circle, waiting for the beat to drop donning a frilly white frock, white sneakers, and a ballerina tight bun.

Maesi left the audience shocked when Migos’ hit Bad and Boujee suddenly blared from the speakers and she instinctively dived into a freestyle dance routine, kicking off, quite literally, with a powerful jump.

She moved quickly and cleanly through the music, even throwing in a milly rock and side to side grooves.

At first she kept to herself but as the music progressed and the crowd grew larger and louder she began to dance about the space, taking in all the energy for herself.

But she saved the best for last, when the chorus came around she hit the beats on the famed chorus words ‘rain drop, drop top’ with sharp elbow and knee movements.

When it came time for the line ‘cookin’ up dope in the crockpot’ she leaped into the air and caught herself on the group using the back of her arms, and right before her legs came to the ground she stretched into a lightning fast middle split that left the crowd roaring.

The impressive trick didn’t stop her as she spun right back up and continued to sway to the chorus and to the cheer of the crowd that was clamoring to see her, before spinning back to her mom in the spectator circle.

Maesi took to Instagram to share her video that included the hashtag ‘I ain’t no ballerina’ with her 412,000 followers.

‘So do you guys recognize my dress? Same one I competed “Contagious” in while in Vegas just a few hours prior,’ she exclaimed.

‘That’s what you get for waking up in VEGAS!!! Don’t let the pretty dress fool ya’ …I’m a BEAST!!!’ she added.

The youngster already has an impressive dancer career training under Willdabeast, one of the most renown LA choreographers, a gig touring on Justin Bieber’s Purpose tour and a career on season seven of Lifetime’s Dance Moms.

But at the end of the day behind the make-up and the spotlight, Maesi proved that the most fun lies in freestyling it out right on the street.
