A 15-month-old toddler has died after he was struck by a car on a rural property south of Townsville.
The young boy was hit at about 4.45pm on Thursday by a vehicle allegedly being driven by a woman, according to police.
The female driver is assisting police with their investigation.
It is understood the toddler was run over by a car on a driveway at a rural property on Berryman Rd, Home Hill.
The toddler was transported to Ayr Hospital in critical condition and a short time later passed away.
A Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances that led to his tragic death.
