A lucky couple have received the perfect first wedding anniversary gift after winning £1million on the lottery.
Martin Brandist, 54, and his wife Debbie, 48, from Nuneaton, Warwickshire, are now planning on buying a holiday home in Lanzarote on the Canary Islands.
Their lucky dip Lotto win, matching five main numbers and the bonus ball in the September 18 draw, means the couple – who have three grown-up children between them – are also planning on spending New Year at Disneyland Paris.
Mr Brandist, who has quit his job as an NHS manager, and his wife announced their win just days after marking their first wedding anniversary on Sunday.
