A young Bunnings worker has earned thousands of fans after featuring in an advertisement for paint.

Palace Thorley, 21, appeared in the ad across Australia urging shoppers people to head into stores ahead of the long weekend shut downs if they wanted to make the most of their time off.

The young blonde instantly became an ‘iconic’ face of the DIY warehouse – with some people admitting they had developed a crush since seeing the ad.

Others started messaging the 21-year-old on TikTok and Instagram to draw attention to her likeness.

After several of these encounters she decided to reveal the truth.

She is the iconic Bunnings paint aisle girl, and to prove it she ditched her typical glamorous look and donned her work shirt.

She explained the retailer use real staff members for their advertisements instead of hiring models or actors.

Her original advertisement went viral – and so did her cheeky follow up which has since been deleted.

 ‘I didn’t think a Bunnings ad would give me a new crush,’ one lauged.

While others said they had seen the advertisement several times in one weekend, and remembered her face.
