He said: ‘The biggest misconception about being wealthy and successful is that you have to work long hours to trade your time for money.
‘Working hard won’t make you a millionaire – we’ve been lied to.
‘The truth is all you need to do to be successful is have something to sell and to put that in front of the right people.’
He explained that he makes much more money now than he did as an intern and is doing less.
‘I now make 50 times my old income as an intern and all I did was package up some of my own findings to people who want to learn them.
‘A salaried conventional job just gives your income a ceiling and your comforts – a mortgage, car etc. will keep you locked in a state of “maintaining”, not growing your earning potential.
‘I tell my clients: “do not trade your time for money.”
‘There is another way,’ he added.
The millionaire’s extraordinary success first began when he was just 13 years old.
Growing up during the rise of social media, Lucas had always been interested in the power of the internet.
‘I started at such a young age because if I wanted junk food or a video game or something I had to ask my parents for permission because they didn’t give me pocket money,’ Lucas, who now boasts 310,000 followers said.

He explained that by always having to ask for things and never having ‘control’ over his life at a young age, it taught him to earn money for himself.
‘I was always having to plead my case and I wanted some control over my choices, even at that age. At first I was just messing about with selling graphics and getting more customers by word-of-mouth.
‘When I turned 15, I taught myself how to make and sell digital products and I made about $6,000 in one month.
‘My mind was blown – and it all went from there.’
Between the ages of 14-16, Lucas amassed over $20,000 in savings, using the cash to supplement his lifestyle while studying.
He credited his entrepreneurial spirit to his family dynamic.
His dad, is a self-published author and his mom, works in college admissions, helping people present the best versions of themselves.
And while he wanted to find his passion, he felt like he had to work harder than his siblings, so he struggled because he felt like he ‘didn’t fit in.’
He said: ‘I had this drive as a kid to find my passion.

‘I have twin older brothers who were athletic and academic and got into great colleges.
‘They always had each other and I felt like I didn’t fit in in the same way.
‘I wanted to follow my own path and if it didn’t exist already, I thought I would have to build it.’
After a few years of saving money, Lucas began forgetting about growing his income, and he became ‘restless.’
He explained that he got ‘lazy’ and turned towards the ‘partying’ lifestyle before turning back to working on increasing his wealth.
‘After starting so strong I got lazy, I had more in savings than I knew what to do with and I was going into my senior year of high school so started to just enjoy my high school years.
‘But in my sophomore year of studying for a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at college, I started to get restless in life, I was just going to class and partying, I didn’t have any drive so I started some freelance work and made another $10,000.’
In 2019, aged 20, Lucas started an office internship with a company that had a huge digital marketing budget, which became the jumping off point for his own business.
The 24-year-old said: ‘I was paid $3,000 a month but closed advertising deals for the company that were worth $500,000.
‘I thought if I could make even one per cent of that for myself as an entrepreneur I’d be happy so I researched everything I could about how digital marketing worked.

Just a year later, Lucas quit his job after making his first million dollars with a small team of five virtual assistants to support him and now owns his own business
‘I taught myself from scratch using the same tenacity I’d shown as a kid except this time I was freelancing behind my bosses back and not my parents.’

The business owner says the combination of creating something for yourself to sell and helping others is what inspired him to launch his own digital marketing agency, Growth Cave, which is projected to turn over $20 million in 2023.
He now has business partner, Ozzie Blessed, and the pair run a team of 35 members.
They aim to reach $100 million turnover as soon as possible and become a household name.
Growth Cave is a digital marketing training and consulting company that teaches entrepreneurs how to make more profit using the power of social media advertising.
After years of keeping his growing empire a secret from his parents, Lucas now shares his success with them and says they couldn’t be prouder.
He said: ‘For a while, my mom and dad were quietly suspicious.
‘I know they wondered if what I was doing was legal because they’d ask things like: “‘Are you treating people fairly?'”
‘Now, they have seen the courses I sell and how I help people and guide them towards their own online success and they are really proud.’
