Manchester United were held to a goal-less draw by Sevilla but there were plenty of talking points.
Jose Mourinho showed a softer side with a mascot and United fans lavished praise on David de Gea after his astonishing save at the end of the first half.
Here are six things you may have missed from United’s 0-0 draw at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan.

Mourinho gives mascot a hug
The United boss showed his softer side in the tunnel before kick-off.
He embraced one of the mascots as they lined up preparing to walk out onto the pitch as two of the other youngsters bounced up and down in excitement at seeing David de Gea.
The Portuguese has frequently cut a cold and isolated figure this season so it was refreshing to see some genuine warmth.

United fans fume over Pogba omission
Jose Mourinho left his record signing on the bench, preferring Scott McTominay in midfield.
To say his selection raised eyebrows would be an understatement with plenty of United fans taking to social media to vent their anger.
Mourinho and Pogba’s relationship has been under strain in recent weeks with the Frenchman desperately out of form but most sided with the 24-year-old who ended up coming on for Ander Hererra after 15 minutes anyway.
Fans bait City with ‘Will Grigg’s on fire’
Having delighted in Will Grigg’s winner eliminating rivals Manchester City from the FA Cup, United fans serenaded the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan with a tune for their neighbours back home.
The travelling hoards were in high spirits and belted out ‘Will Grigg’s on fire’ after the Sevilla MC had prompted them with a play of ‘Freed From Desire’.
Reaction to David de Gea’s wonder save
As Sevilla turned up the heat towards the end of the first half, Luis Muriel had a golden opportunity to score but was thwarted by United’s stopper.
De Gea pulled off an astonishing stop, reacting to the powerful header from three yards out and palming it over.
It could be argued Muriel should have headed it down but the keeper showed razor sharp reflexes and anticipation to prevent an opener and United fans waxed lyrical about their main man.

Sir Alex Ferguson ‘on tour’ with fans
A few lucky United fans found themselves alongside a club icon and took the opportunity for a picture.
Perhaps the man in the green jacket will look back at this snap with some regret as he obscures the star of the show.
He’s not even looking at the camera, very disappointing from the gentleman in the green puffer. The picture shared by Dan Mellett on Twitter was simply captioned: ‘On tour with Sir Alex.’

United fire blanks in Spain
United may feel like it’s a case of job done, taking the game back to Old Trafford where any kind of win will do.
But the Red Devils have struggled away in Spain in recent years.
Five of Manchester United’s last seven Champions League away matches in Spain have ended goalless.
