A small conveyor belt transports the cup behind a clear screen and a stick blender is lowered in to mix the ice and chocolate syrup together.
The 7-Eleven shake is blended for a little under a minute with its progress displayed on the screen above which says: ‘This is where the magic happens. We promise it’s worth the wait’.

‘It’s the price that gets me in Australia. In the U.K. this would be £4,’ one Brit said.
‘Me expecting it to look nothing like the picture, but no, it looked just right,’ another commented.
Some were put off by the amount of ice used whereas other were concerned about the cleanliness of the machine – a worry a 7-Eleven employee put to bed.
‘Did you want chocolate with that ice?’ one user laughed.
‘I think I need to see how the blender bit gets cleaned,’ another said to which a 7-Eleven staff member responded: ‘We have this machine at my store. It rinses after every blend and there’s daily and hourly cleans that need to be done’.
‘If they’re not done, the machine literally doesn’t work, it’ll just shut down till it’s cleaned,’ they added.
