A 90s game show host looked completely unrecognisable as he announced an upcoming project.

The actor, 82, from New Zealand, is famed for fronting The Crystal Maze game show in the 1990s.

He also created the Rocky Horror Show in the 1970s, which has since remained in production.

The writer, who has now produced a new dark fairytale musical called The Kingdom Of Bling, looked worlds away from his younger looks as he shared details about his new project.

But can you guess who it is?

It’s… Richard O’Brien!

The creator looked completely different compared to his hosting days on The Crystal Maze show.

Speaking about his new musical, Richard said he was inspired by Donald Trump’s presence.

He told The New Zealand Herald: ‘I was driven to write it by the dreadfulness of Donald Trump’s presence in the world.

‘I just wanted to write something disparaging that was entertaining at the same time and take us on a fairy tale… there’s a dark edge to fairy tales and it couldn’t get any darker than, than Mr Trump’s presence in the world.’

According to the actor, the show draws from fairytales like Peter And The Wolf as well as Alice In Wonderland.

The 40 minute play sees Richard narrate alongside a string of characters.

Richard will be donating all proceeds from the show to the Starship Children’s Hospital.
