Car crashes into Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station crowd

 A car has crashed into a crowd of people at Melbourne’s Flinders Street Station. 

Paramedics were called to a report of pedestrians hit by a car at the corner of Elizabeth Street and Flinders Street at 4.41pm this afternoon. 

Police say the extent of injuries is unknown and the driver of the car has been arrested. 

A witness told 3AW there were about ‘five to seven people laying on the ground’.

‘It just mowed everybody down, people were flying everywhere,’ another witness told the radio station.
