How channel nine stars will spend NYE

It’s the night where we reflect on the year that was while looking ahead to the next.

And with New Year’s Eve just around the corner, some of Channel Nine’s stars have revealed how they will ring in 2018, with most opting for low key celebrations.

In a piece that appeared on Nine Honey, Deborah Knight admitted she’d likely be in bed by midnight while Sonia Kruger revealed she’d be enjoying a quiet night in with partner Craig McPherson and their two-year-old daughter Maggie.

Big night: With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, some of Channel Nine’s galaxy of stars, including Sonia Kruger, have revealed how they will be celebrating the start of 2018

‘Given our lack of babysitting options I would say we’ll probably be staying in and watching the fireworks, toasting the new year with a glass,’ Sonia revealed.

And it seems that family-focused celebrations are the order of the day for the channel nine camp.

Deborah said she was excited to watch the fireworks with her children Audrey, 11 months, Darcy, seven, and Ella, five.

‘I’ll be reading the Sydney 6pm News and then going with the kids to a vantage spot to see the 9pm fireworks,’ she said.

Deborah continued: ‘I love the fireworks on New Year’s Eve and it’s great that the kids can be involved as well. I’m usually tucked in bed by midnight.’

Fellow news presenter Jayne Azzopardi is also keeping her celebrations family-focused.

She will be helping her mother celebrate her birthday before heading out for dinner with her fiancé Trent Butler.
