Police have not said how she died, but say they are investigating her death as a homicide.

Thirteen days before she went missing, Bollinger was granted a permanent restraining order against a stalker.

In a Facebook post from around the time she got the restraining order, Bollinger identified her stalker as 42-year-old Shawn Schwartz, a man she befriended about two years ago.

When she moved to Virginia, she says he drove cross-country and slept behind her work for weeks.

‘When I told him I didn’t want to see him anymore, he sent me hundreds of texts and calls,’ she said.

She says she asked him to stop but he continued to harass her, parking outside of her house, sending her emails every day and even threatening to kill himself in front of her.

Broomfield Police have spoken to Schwartz but won’t say whether he is a suspect or not.

Since she went missing, Schwartz has been recording videos on his Facebook page, asking for help searching for the teen and claiming innocence in her disappearance.

Anyone with information on Bollinger’s death is being asked to call 303-654-1850 or 303-288-1535.

A GoFundMe page has also been set up to help Bollinger’s family with funeral expenses.  As of Wednesday afternoon it had raised more than $6,000.

Bollinger got a restraining order out against Schwartz in mid- December. Police have refused to call him a suspect in her death
