Gogglebox’s Angie tipped for RHOS role

She’s one half of Gogglebox’s most popular couch duos who critiques Australia’s top TV offerings.

But Angie Kent might soon be making the transition to the other side of the TV, with the bubbly blonde named as a possible ‘fresh face’ on Real Housewives of Sydney.

The Daily Telegraph reported on Friday that the Gogglebox star shares a surprising link to the series’ current cast – which is in doubt after a lukewarm reception overseas.

In May, the controversial show was rejected by US network Bravo for being too extreme – the first time a Real Housewives franchise was not immediately picked up for syndication.

Last month, season one cast member Melissa Tkautz confessed the women were being kept in the dark about if they were coming back.

‘They’re auditioning new people and two to three [of us] are out,’ Melissa told NW Magazine.

‘I don’t even know if I’ll be back yet. None of us know who’s in or out,’ she continued, adding that filming will begin in February.
