Australia’s brightest female soccer star has made some young fans dreams come true with a game they’ll never forget.
Matildas star Sam Kerr received a surprising knock at her door from three young boys asking her for a game of park soccer.
The Australian soccer forward, who led the Matildas to their first trophy in seven years, couldn’t resist and filmed the heartwarming moment.

Kale, 11, Harrison, 11, and Jake, eight, went to the Perth park and set up their soccer nets before knocking on Kerr’s door.
Kale and Jake’s mum Gina Arena told Daily Mail Australia the boys were very excited to be playing with their soccer idol.
‘I didn’t even get a chance to see but they came home all puffed and sweaty and had big grins,’ Dr Arena said.
The budding soccer stars teamed up playing ‘two on two’ for more than an hour kicking the ball with Kerr, who is quickly becoming the world’s best footballer.
The boys spent the afternoon ‘crossing, shooting, passing’ and of course ‘just having fun’ with the athlete who understands what its like to be a child with dreams as she was 15-years-old when she made her debut for Perth Glory and the nation team in 2009.
‘They just came back so excited that Sam came down … she was just really down to earth with them,’ Dr Arena said.
Kerr comes from rich sporting bloodlines, with both her father, Roger, and brother, Daniel, playing professional Aussie Rules. Daniel played 220 games for the West Coast Eagles, earning All-Australian honours and winning the 2006 AFL Premiership.
‘Even though they’re boys, she always rates as one of their favourites because she’s made it big time … which is cool boys can have a female as a role model,’ Dr Arena said.
The video received more than 84,000 views in less than a day since it was shared online.
Kerr, who is the leading scorer in the league, was awarded the Julie Dolan Medal in 2017 and was named the International Player of the Year by the Football Media Association in 2013 and 2014.
‘We appreciate Sam has the time for them, it shows her true strengths and that she’s a people person, she doesn’t have the big head,’ Dr Arena said.
