George Calombaris caught parking in disabled spot

Celebrity chef George Calombaris has been snapped parking his BMW SUV in a disabled car park while shopping near Byron Bay.

The 39-year-old MasterChef star was seen at the New South Wales holiday hot spot on Wednesday parking illegally in the spot while his wife Natalie Tricarico ran into a shop.

Parking in the handicapped space made it an easy trip to and from the vehicle as it was right outside the entrance.

He said the assault was a ‘monumental mistake’.

Mr Calombaris – the Melbourne Victory’s No.1 ticket holder – was convicted of attack a rival Sydney FC fan during the game.

He banned himself from watching the team live for 12 months, and has said he considered quitting his lucrative television gig.

‘I think I am definitely wiser, I have learnt a lot, I am remorseful about certain things, I have made some mistakes,’ he said.

‘2017 will be done on the 31st of December at 11.59pm. It is done. It is dusted. I have learn. We have learnt,’ he said.
