After cooling off, the couple made their way back to the sand, to work on their tans.

Reclining on a towel and propping one leg over the other, Ian shielded his eyes from the sun with a pair of black aviator sunglasses.

Looking to multitask, the sometimes television presenter checked his iPhone intermittently.

‘Seeing all the politicians cross the floor and there only being four that opposed (the bill) was amazing,’ he said.

‘Not just at the moment but I am very pleased that I have the right to now,’ he stated.

‘I would like to get married at some point in the future. To take it seriously, we would like to do it at the right time,’ he said.
