This is the terrifying moment a masked thug lunged at schoolchildren with a knife outside their school before running off when an onlooker shouted, ‘What are you doing with that? they’re kids.’
Footage posted on Instagram shows terrified children fleeing as the knifeman walks near the Buckinghamshire school accompanied by a companion who is filming.
The man filming can be heard warning him not to do anything outside the school because ‘there are teachers there’.

Then a brave girl confronts the knifeman, shouting: ‘What you going do with the f***ing knife?’
Another person shouts: ‘What the f*** you doing with that? They’re kids you f*****d******’. The interventions give time for the children to flee.
The video, which is being investigated by police, was filmed in September 2017 and uploaded to Instagram. It has since been removed.
A statement to parents seen by The Sun said the incident – which had not been repeated – did not happen directly outside the gates but ‘in the vicinity’ of the school.

The knifeman was not linked to the school, the headmaster said, and senior members of staff were on duty by the gates every morning and evening.
Thames Valley Police told MailOnline: ‘We were called to Hatters Lane at just after 3.30pm on 7 September last year to reports that a male was in possession of a knife.
‘Police attended the scene but no male was located. Following the report further reassurance patrols were carried out in the area.’
