Dashcam captures moment child is thrown through windscreen

A shocking dash cam video caught the moment a child had a miraculous escape after being hurled through a car windscreen.

Her ‘panicking’ mother drove the wrong way down a busy road and collided with another vehicle in Plast, Russia.

The horrific smash left the Russian youngster – believed to be a girl – sitting in snow at the side of the road.

The child, believed to be a girl, smashed through a windscreen after a car collision in on a road near Chelyabinsk, Russia

Astonishingly, given the force of the impact when the mother’s Daewoo Matiz struck a Lada, the child is not believed to be seriously injured, and was seen moving on the snow in the immediate aftermath of the accident.

A witness said: ‘The child had a broken nose, and the mother suffered bruises’.

Dmitry Toshin, whose dash cam filmed the crash in Plast, 79 miles southwest of Chelyabinsk, said: ‘The driver of Matiz car was a woman.

‘I spoke to her, she said the road was slippery, she lost control of the car.

‘She was panicking… The child was in a car seat but was thrown out.’

There was speculation that the belt was not done up.
