Delivery man caught throwing $800 speakers over fence

A Perth delivery man caught on camera throwing a parcel over a two-metre fence has been slammed online for his carelessness.

In the surveillance footage shared online in two videos, a PEP courier can be seen approaching the front door of a property with a large parcel in a cardboard box.

After knocking on the door, the man can be seen hovering at the property’s entrance while he waits to see if anyone is home around 12pm on Monday.

After waiting less than one minute the man approaches the side of the property and drops the box onto the concrete pavers below.

‘My $800 speakers being carefully delivered by PEP transport yesterday,’ Steve, who asked for his last name to be withheld, wrote on Facebook with footage of the incident.

The delivery patron is recorded scribbling a note, alerting the homeowner to the whereabouts of his parcel.

‘Plz check your side gate, your parcel is there in the side gate,’ he said.

Steve said he was disappointed he wasn’t required to sign for his new speakers, but couldn’t believe it when he realised they had been handled so poorly.

‘Obviously shocked but when I read the note and said it was inside the gate I thought I must have left it open but when I went there it was locked like it should of been so I knew what had happened,’ he told Daily Mail Australia.

Luckily the speakers were packaged correctly and the goods were not damaged.

On Facebook a number of people have slammed the delivery man for being so reckless.

‘What if it was glass or something and he just drops it like it’s plastic what a f*****g joke,’ one commenter said.

‘What the hell!!!!’ said another, with one person citing: ‘Omg did you report ! This makes me so angry.’

Steve said he doesn’t want the employee to lose his job but he would like to send a message that his work wasn’t acceptable and he’s lucky no damage was caused.

Daily Mail Australia has approached PEP for comment.
