India Willoughby says she’d love to go on Doctor Who

She became the first housemate to be booted from the current Celebrity Big Brother house on Friday night, after battling out in the public vote against Jonny Mitchell.

And one of the first things India Willoughby has done since exiting the house is to admit a crush on controversial housemate Dapper Laughs.

‘He’s street-wise, he’s got lots of bants, he’s very funny and he’s very good looking!’ the 51-year-old transgender broadcaster admitted in a post-eviction press chat.

‘I’d like to get down and dirty with a Dalek!’ India Willoughby says she’d love to go on Doctor Who… and confesses her crush on ‘VERY good-looking’ Dapper Laughs

‘Dapper Laughs is a good soul. I think going in the house for Dapper is a journey and he’s going to try to redeem his reputation.’

She went on to reveal that he is the kind of man she’s looking for – having admitted she is ready for love.

‘I’m looking for a geezer and now I’m out of the house I’m hoping some Jack the lad has been watching the show and will think “that’s my kind of girl!”‘

The reality star’s amorous intentions didn’t stop there – adding that she has a ‘thing’ for Daleks on Doctor Who.

I’m a big Doctor Who fan. Who knows if they invite me on the show then I’d like to. I’d like to get down and dirty with a Dalek. Who wouldn’t!’

Not only do Dapper and Daleks float her boat – India also had her eye on singer Ginuwine – who has been seen to romance Ashley James in the house.

‘Ginuwine is hot!’ she said, despite having an altercation with him early on in the show when he said he wouldn’t necessarily date a trans woman.

India nominated him, but still admitted: ‘He’s an out and out stud! I like Ginuwine. Him and Ashley do make a good couple and I do believe romance could be on the cards.

‘The only thing that’s putting her off is Ginuwine’s track record with women and she’s worried that her family might see.’

Having been outspoken and confrontational in the house during her first week, India seemed to have learnt the error of her ways, and admitted her eviction was down to her actions.

‘I didn’t want to go; it was a tough time for me in the house. I did feel a bit isolated. It’s my fault for adopting the wrong strategy,’ she said.

‘Some people say Big Brother is a social experiment and first hand going into that house, let me tell you it’s a really tough environment. I’m very self aware. I realised really early on that I would get a lot of the blame for things.’

‘The women turned on me at the end. I had a meltdown and I was in the depths of despair. But I know it will make me a better person.’

One woman in particular was Amanda Barrie, who labelled India ‘a victim’.

‘I didn’t want to be alone or isolated. I’m just a very sensitive person and if I feel hurt I’m going to show that. I was really hurt by the victim claims, that really hurt me because I was building up a good friendship with Amanda.

‘She accused me of playing the victim, of being a strategist who was trying to trick the viewers. Amanda was an actor from early on. I think she was putting on a bit of act.

‘[She didn’t like me] because I’m beautiful. She’s jealous.’

She also had some choice words about Malika Haqq and Rachel Johnson.

‘I noticed that Malika is ill during the day – then the champagne comes out and it’s party time. And she’s never cleaned the kitchen or the toilet,’ she noted. ‘I think she’s a good person but she’s privileged. She has to pull her weight.’

On journalist and sister to Boris Rachel, she said: ‘She’s very intelligent, I think she’s the cleverest in the house and early on she was pumping me for information as a superfan.

‘Initially she was my friend because we had so much in common, we are both blonde, both journalists. She delivered a blow by nominating me. She’s one to watch.’

India came under fire for her reaction to drag queens in the house – namely housemate Shane J who doubles up as Courtney Act, and Andrew Brady’s joke turn as Betty Swollox.

‘I genuinely do have a fear of drag queens,’ she insisted. ‘Some people have a phobia or spiders or clowns, I have a phobia of drag queens. It’s something I’ve had since I was a child, there’s nothing I can do about it.

‘he only people who have an issue with drag queens are people in my position. I know drag queens are not going in to make life tough for trans women.

‘I want Shane to win, I know he’s a drag queen but if anyone was going to cure me of my fear it would be Shane. Life is about learning.’

She also defended the pictures that appeared online of her at a Pride event, posing with drag acts.

‘I never went as a punter I was hired to attend so that’s all it was,’ she said, simply.

Aside from Doctor Who, India is open to more reality TV – namely a turn on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

‘Just get me under a waterfall in a gold bikini,’ she said.

Celebrity Big Brother airs nightly on Channel 5.
