Peyton Manning’s son, 6, steals the show at NBA game

Peyton Manning may be one of the most celebrated football players of all time, but it was his son who stole the limelight during a recent NBA game.

Peyton and his son Marshall, six, were at the Pepsi Center, in Colorado, to see the Denver Nuggets beat the Memphis Grizzlies 87-78 on Friday.

All was going well until the jumbotron alighted on the pair, who were sat courtside.

Suddenly the youngster burst into life, excitably screaming at the camera and pumping his fists.

Meanwhile, Peyton – a former Indianapolis Colts and Denver Broncos quarterback and surefire Hall of Famer – looked slightly embarrassed by his son’s overjoyed display.

Eventually, he brought it to an end by enveloping his son in a big bear hug.

Manning has two kids wife his wife, Ashley, who he married in Memphis on St. Patrick’s Day, 2001. The pair met through her parents’ neighbor shortly before Manning went off to college.

Ashley gave birth to twins  on March 31, 2011; Marshall and his sister Mosley.

Manning, 41, played college football at the University of Tennessee but lives in Indiana, where his pro football career began.  He was recently inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame tonight for his play at Tennessee, from 1994 to 1997, and is expected to join the the Professional Hall of Fame soon.

Manning was also a Super Bowl MVP, a 14-time Pro Bowl selection and a seven-time first-team All-Pro. His teams made the playoffs in 15 of his 18 seasons, and he reached the 4,000-yard passing mark in 14 seasons.

He retired from the game in 2016, and a pitch man for Nationwide insurance.

Last September, his name was floated as a possible U.S. Senate candidate in Tennessee, following the announcement that Sen. Bob Corker will retire net year instead of seeking a third term in office.
