A female clubber stole the show on a Sunderland dancefloor with moves that sparked a social media search to find out who she is – it’s Rachel McCann Parkin.

Video shot at the Arizona nightclub shows Mrs Parkin, 33, rolling on the ground to the rhythm of Destiny Child’s ‘Bootylicious’.

It’s her ‘signature dance move,’ said the B&M shop assistant.

Dressed in a reddish top and black trousers last Saturday night Mrs Parkin completed several ‘teddy-bear rolls’ on an empty dancefloor to a cheering crowd.

One reveler can even be heard yelling ‘oh no!’ in assumed disbelief, as Mrs Parkin takes on the dancefloor.

The video, which has received nearly 600,000 views, was posted by a Twitter user along with a statement that said: ‘how Sunderland didn’t win city of culture I’ll never know’.

Coventry was announced as the UK’s next city of culture last December, beating Paisley, Stoke-on-Trent, Swansea and Sunderland.

Both the Sunderland Echo and social media users have called for a search to find out who the woman is.

The short clip ends with the woman saluting her new adoring fans who go wild with appreciation.
