Woman’s body found stuffed in a garbage bin in Sydney

  • A woman’s body has been found in a garbage bin on Sydney’s northern beaches
  •  The woman, believed to be in her 50s, could have lived in the building 
  •  It is believed the woman’s legs were sticking out of the bin leading to discovery

A woman’s body has been found in a garbage bin behind an apartment building in Sydney’s northern beaches.

It is believed the woman’s legs were poking out of the bin when she was found at the Freshwater apartment block about 1.30pm on Wednesday.  

According to the Daily Telegraph neighbours are concerned about the discovery – and ‘hope they don’t know the woman’ who is thought to be in her 50s. 

Police are investigating after a woman’s body was found stuffed in a garbage bin 

One woman, who has lived in the complex for her whole life also said she wasn’t allowed to go back inside her flat.

Forensic teams were working at the property in Wednesday afternoon. 

Officers from Northern Beaches, with the assistance of Detectives attached to the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, continue to make inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death which is being treated as suspicious.
