The movie tells the story of Bundy’s crimes from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer, who for years refused to believe he committed the killings.

Ultimately, though, she was the one who turned him in to law enforcement.

Kloepfer is played by Lily Collins, 28, who also shared a couple of photos from the set via social media.

‘Meet Liz…’ she wrote alongside an Instagram photo showing her in 1970s style with straight long hair, flared jeans and a peasant blouse.

Collins also shared a pic of a wooden door baring a handwritten sign that said: ‘Ted + Liz.’

The film which is being directed by Joe Berlinger also stars John Malkovich as the judge who presided over Bundy’s televised trial in 1979 and imposed the death sentence on him.

Bundy was executed in 1989 at the age of 42 at Florida State Prison after being found guilty on charges of assaulting and murdering multiple girls and women.

Shortly before his execution, he confessed to 30 killings. Authorities believe he may have been responsible for many more.
