Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette has gotten in a car crash with a Pittsburgh Steelers fan just two days after eliminating the team from the playoffs.

Fournette’s Mercedes-Maybach 6 was struck on I-295 in Jacksonville on Tuesday, following the rookie’s career-high three touchdowns in Sunday’s 45-42 win over the Steelers to carry the Jaguars into the AFC Championship game.

Fournette was rear-ended in the collision but suffered no injuries.

‘I wasn’t really worried about it,’ Fournette told USA Today Sports about the fender-bender. ‘But the funny thing is, it was Pittsburgh fans. Know what I mean?’

Officials described the three-car collision as a 'chain-reaction' accident on Interstate 295 near Jacksonville's Dames Point Bridge. The aftermath of the crash is seen in a traffic cam

‘They were from Pittsburgh,’ Fournette added. ‘They came to Jacksonville to drop the in-laws off.’

Fournette said that he would need ‘a whole new car’ to replace his pricey luxury coupe.

‘Leonard is OK and was able to drive home,’ the Jaguars said in a statement. ‘Appreciate everyone that has reached out to check on him.’

Sgt. Dylan Bryan of the Florida Highway Patrol described the collision of three cars as a ‘chain-reaction’ accident on Interstate 295 near Jacksonville’s Dames Point Bridge.

Fournette’s car was struck from behind by another vehicle, which was pushed forward after it had been rear-ended.

The Florida Highway Patrol posted a picture of Fournette at the crash scene posing with a state trooper.

‘He took the time to take a photo with boy involved in crash and to thank our trooper for his service,’ the agency said. ‘We are glad to hear of no injuries in this crash.’

The Jaguars, in the NFL playoffs for the first time in a decade, will travel to reigning champions the New England Patriots on Sunday to determine who will be the AFC’s representative in Super Bowl LII.
