Hundreds of patients have been told they may be infected with Hepatitis B, C and HIV after visiting a dentist with dirty equipment.
NSW Health has contacted 930 patients of Cronulla dentist Dr Nicholas Southall.
They were told via letter they should be blood tested, 7 News reported.

Those contacted were patients who have had invasive work done since 2003 where bleeding may have occurred
‘I recommend that you see your doctor… to consider testing for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and HIV,’ the letter reads.

Another 2500 patients of the surgery who haven’t had invasive surgery were also recommended to see a doctor as a precaution.
There is a risk of patients transmitting blood-borne viruses, NSW health said.
The letter came after a two-month investigation by NSW Health.
The department found Dr Southall used tools that were not cleaned, sterilised or stored correctly.
The surgery closed on Wednesday but plans to open again in February.
There have not yet been any reports of patients from the clinic having an infection.
